Biden is not a democrat. He never was. Neither is Obama, Hilary, Schumer, and Pelosi.

Mot of the "democrats" are actually moderate republicans with a D next to their name. The only true lefties are AOC, Sanders, and most of the progressive caucus.

It sounds weird the way he puts it but he is right. There should be some sort of balance, especially the way the two parties have moved to the extremes. Like @mtangelsfan said about the next SCOTUS. It will all but end the balance of the court and that isn’t a good thing. The same goes for Congress

Right but the reality is that he will.  And look, I think the Democrats would also do this.  It’s the reality of our government.  And its why I don’t think our system works anymore.  We’re in the midst of political collapse.

the two party system simply doesn’t work anymore.

Then do your part.  Stop voting for someone with an R or a D after their name.

Jars, have you ever once wondered if you know anything about what you are talking about? The Democratic party has shifted as far left as the Republicans have to the right, in fact moreso. So neither party represents those that have been in office for the last 30 years.

I'm trying to think how the Republican party has shifted to the right. Wasting money seems to be a left type thing.

Yeah in fact it sure seems like both parties have shifted equally to the left. Republicans are just democrats ten years ago and democrats are insane.

Republicans latched on to the Evangelicals that skews them as far right as the party of third trimester baby killers went the other direction. Biden is simply a centrist/left instead of centrist/right.

Realistically most people are centrist but the center has shifted left of center from 30 years ago. Not nearly as much as democrats and especially the new order of democrats, think. That is why old school (Boomer) Republicans are completely rejecting the Democrats platform while the later generations will negotiate on the fringe platforms like death penalty and abortion. It's not a hard line in the sand for most that have maintained a moderate stance.

You guys are literally retarded. Congrats.

Gay marriage is settled.

Abortion is settled.

The right is becoming more anti-war.

In actuality, the one weird thing is the left becoming more pro war.

You guys are silly and literally insane.

I'm not sure that is the case. Trump has been bombing much fewer people abroad so the left has to hate that policy.

Based on what I've seen for sure. Of course, the neocons are basically the never trumpers but the new right is definitely far more anti-war. Unfortunately, the new right is also comprised of nationalist sects, anti-immigration nuts and socialists

Gay marriage is still rejected by Boomer and older Republicans.

Abortion is still rejected by Boomer and older Republicans.

War is still a popular method of foreign diplomacy for Boomer and older Republicans.

But that generation is dying out. The new generation of Republican is accepting abortion, gays (still out on trans) and see war as nothing but an economic burden with no pay off.

They moved towards the left and are occupying territory that can't be argued anymore, stripping the democrats of their Roe VS Wade scare tactics.

And for good reason, in a sensible world if your neighbor wants to abort children that's in their household, not yours. That's liberty that doesn't affect your life, provided they pay their own way.

If your neighbors want to be married and are the same sex this has no bearing on your life. They probably have less chance of shooting up the neighborhood when one decides to fuck up the relationship.

If the government wants to keep cycling through foreign civil wars this is a problem. War isn't free and the victors no longer get the defeated countries properties so its deficit spending when alternative means can provide the resources that were stifled by bad trade agreements. So the increased taxes are stifling your pathway to financial security. War is off the table.

All the Alt right crap is noise and isn't being adopted by people looking to improve their lives. All the Alt Left is just as unappealing. Sensible evolution is probably where the Republicans are headed because it's the only path to a centrist life.

The 2016 campaign and election of Donald Trump. Clearly, America will never have a non-interventionist policy, but I don't think Trump wins without the anti-war rhetoric.

It's why many on the right like Tulsi.

Gay marriage is not the end all. LGTBQ people can still be fired or denied services, simply for being gay. And every state that this discrimination is still legal are all republican.

WTF lol. No it's not, Texas is still trying to pass laws to execute women who have abortions, Georgia wants to put them in prison, Alabama wants the doctors put in jail for life. This is "settled" to you?

Oh? The recent Bolivia coup must have been a figment of my imagination.  The Valenzuela coup that Trump's administration has been trying since day 1 in office ring a bell? Sanctioning Iran including  medicine which is highly illegal in hopes that the people will overthrow the government?

Ok you've seriously completely and totally lost it. What is that based on?
