Personally, I think Jose Mota is a great guy and I actually hate it when people make fun of him. I'd hang out with him any time. He's just a good human being. He's humble, kind, charitable, and a good role model. He makes time for the fans and I'm glad he's part of the Angels broadcast team.

Nobody and I mean nobody doubts that he is a great human being.

I remember probably 15 years ago, a couple of Angels were scheduled to be at a Ralph's grocery store opening at Carson and Cherry in LB.  The player didn't show up that morning "Car trouble" and Mota took care of everything.  He was awesome.

 

But he has trouble with the english language.

In my case, it's meant as if I was good naturedly ribbing a friend.   There are indeed few who are seemingly as cool and down to earth as he is in major league sports.

For me, I think there are a lot of bigger things to complain about or even poke fun at.  Even though I don't necessarily believe people are being malicious - it just bugs me because he is such a "good" guy.
