I like that Yan has dropped his release point further than before. It hides the ball better. Here doesn't throw hard enough to miss his spots, so his command will need to improve.

I still think he'd make a great reliever, but the Angels would be smart to stick with him as a starter for as long possible

And "Lam" Jones won a gold medal (4 X 100 relay) at the '76 Olympic games before he even enrolled at UT.   Imagine accomplishing that by the age of 18 and then being told by some football coach, "hey, we have to give you this nickname so we don't confuse you with this other guy,"
