Loos like we may be incorporating some of Houston techniques.

Hopefully  white gets these guys to stop nibbling and instead attacking the hitters

I expect an increase on breaking balls and pitches thrown in the upper strike zone.

And Happy Holidays to all!

Good Stuff. I think Sonny Gray would be an excellent fourth righty in the rotation to go along with Harvey, Cahill, and Barria.

Thinking that the rotation then would be Heaney, Gray, Harvey, Skaggs, Cahill, Barria. Yes it's a 6 man rotation again.

27 starts each. 6 2/3 IP average per start = 180 innings.

Average 20 outs, 3 3-1/2 times through the order.

Still leery about Gray, plus how many staffs average 6 2/3 innings per start today?   Not even Houston's staff averaged this many innings in 2018.

Would rather roll with someone like Bridwell or Tropeano in the 6th spot, and limit them to one start per week early on.   Then if they both struggle the first 1-2 months, hopefully Canning or Suarez are ready by then.

Need to use the remaining payroll on a catcher and Robertson (hoping coming down to $8 million/year).
