Reddit guy: Bryce Harper to the Dodgers?

Harper has failed to play at least 120 games in 3 of his 7 MLB seasons.    That is way too much health concern, to pay out 10 years/$326 million.

The source didn't give any contract details. $326 million seems low considering the Nats offered him $300 million months ago.

He doesnt seem like he should be $30+ million dollar player a year.

the other reason this could work out in our favor is if Harper took less to sign with the Dogs than going with a team like the White Sox then it may set the bar a little lower for what we need to beat in order to keep Trout.  

Frankly, I am more interested in the terms than I am the team.

Are you claiming your Godson was better than Harper?  They only have so many scholarships and they go to the better players.

the big things that those three franchises (and the cubs) did a few years back was to go hard after the international market players before the rules changed as well as keep their prospects.  The reason it makes sense for them to sign a Harper or Machado etc is that they kept guys like Betts, Bogaerts, Bradley, Bellinger, Seager, Beuhler, Severino, Andujar, Judge, Sanchez, Torres, etc.  Now they are filling in or did fill in around them.  None of them purchased good teams.
