Don't re-sign any Angel FAs.

i've been kinda figuring they'd be somewhat sympathetic to GRich while he's rehabbing. in fact, i thought it was a requirement of the CBA (apparently, for the first time in a very long time, i was wrong) that a player in his position couldn't be released or DFA'd, but i didn't realized they could declare free agency.

i'm perfectly okay to let richards rehab somewhere else.

He had a contract that paid him through 2018, and now 2018 is over. If this were the middle of a contract, he could still be released or DFA'd, but he'd still get the money.

The Angels, I think, still may have to pay for his rehab until he's employed by someone else. They just won't pay him a salary.

I'd resign Richards if he was willing to take the league minimum or around $1-2M in 2019 and had an affordable option for 2020.

Eovaldi is a highly similar pitcher and was in a similar position in 2017, when he was likely to miss the whole year AND yet, they had an option on 2018 in that contract.

Sign a two year contract for the minimum or cheap as a gamble.  He plays one year to get his value back.

On that list - we need a catcher:  Martin Maldonado, AJ Ellis and Bobby Wilson -- all familiar names.

SP -- Should we extend an offer to Garrett RIchards - lotsa DL time; whaddya think? Other than Richards on the Halos list - let 'em all go. Blake Wood ???? perhaps.

SP - two names on that list (not the top guys on the list but guys I think the Halos could possibly afford:  Gio Gonzalez, Jeremy Hellickson

RP -- David Robertson --- set up/ pre-set up guy - the exact area where we've had issues

They need a catcher better than that. Far better. Need someone that can hit especially if Pujols is going to be at 1B again (ugh)

I'm cool with getting David Robertson though
