NBC is reporting a second caravan forming in El Salvador.

Salvadoran 'President' Salvador Sánchez Cerén has rejected Trump’s demands to prevent migrants from leaving....“For us, migrating is a right, and so migrants’ rights have to be respected,” Sánchez Cerén said at a news conference.

Upon hearing rumors of the caravan in El Salvador, the Salvadoran Ministry of Justice and Security dispatched police to patrol the perimeter of the plaza where migrants gathered Sunday morning....Stunningly the measures were 'to 'ENSURE THE SAFE PASSAGE' of the people rather than hinder their journey, according to a ministry spokesman.

The left says these people are seeking asylum. If their country is so bad that they need to flee and seek asylum why are they still flying it's flag?

Apparently by law they need to seek asylum in the first country they enter, which is Mexico. They're allegedly refusing to do so. 

I wonder if Trump will use that as the reason for denying them admission and consideration for asylum.

It's obvious to anyone with half a brain their intention is to come here and stay.

No.  If these people really want to become Americans.  They should wait in line at the consulate El Salvador.  Fill out the proper paperwork.  Have the proper background checks done on them.  Get the proper immunizations.  And wait like the thousands of others across the globe that are hoping to get into the US legally.

And of course the El Salvadorian government wishes them well on their journey.  A few thousand less deadbeats that they have to worry about.

It’s all bullshit.  It’s not a crisis.  Hardly any of these people will end up getting close to the United States.  I doubt any of them are allowed to enter. 

I read a few days ago that Mexico is offering all of them asylum if they turn themselves over.  I’d suspect a decent number of them will accept that.  Even if there are those who decide to press on (and who will fail)

So, two things ...

1)  The definition of invasion actually fits.  "an incursion by a large number of people or things into a place or sphere of activity."  Or, "an unwelcome intrusion into another's domain."

2)  I think a lot of people a missing what using the word invasion allows the President to do on this from a constitutional standpoint.  It's actually a smart play.  Slimy ... but smart.

I get that the dictionary definition of invasion is accurate.  They use words like invasion because of the frightening and negative connotations.  On a lot of levels it’s pretty dishonest. 

You bring up an interesting point about the use of the word.  Anyway, it’s not a national security crisis.

I’m sure Donald is in some situation room right now very urgently studying what can be done to protect the United States from these destitute women and children.  

He’s deeply, deeply concerned that a bunch of people looking to be baby sitters or day laborers will severely harm the American way of life.

I get the scary word piece of it.  It's the same reason cable news people are always saying, "Trump is attacking the media."  STFU with attacking.  He's not attacking them anymore than they're attacking him.  But, it's a scary word so they use it.

With invasion, I think there is a scary piece to it for sure.  But I truly believe the bigger reason is much more nefarious (while also being a smart play).  It allows him constitutional powers to involve the military.
