Looks like the Dodgers may still be trying to cut more payroll for Harper and maybe Kluber. Maybe we could work out a deal fro Hill and a few prospects,  final year of contract and making 18 mil this year, we acquire him and than flip him for some needs or  more prospects?

Last night I dreamt the Angels signed. Christmas Day deal with Dallas Keuchel. Everyone knows I'm not a huge fan of him beyond three years, maybe four at the most, but I was excited though.

I have a grandaughter who is almost 6 months old.  I kind of hope the Angels sign a guy so I can get a Jersey with her name on it.  Her name is not Machado or Keuchel or Grandall.  Her name is Harper.

It’s called having a fantastic amount of tradeable assets. There’s a big market for guys like Puig and you can use that market to get rid of bad contracts like Kemp

Kemp = $21.75M 

Total = $43.75M

Bailey = $23M + $5M buyout in 2020

$7M from Dodgers

Total = $35M

DIFFERENCE = $8.75 MILLION

Just off the top of my head...Carl Crawford and Matt Kemp pt 1 come to mind for clearing high contracts. But yes, this recent deal was more about clearing a spot for Harper.

they also added Aledmys Diaz.  A solid and cheaper replacement for Gonzalez.  

I bet they'll add a couple veteran players on 1yr deals like Ervin Santana and Nelson Cruz.
