Personally, I don’t think the test will factor much in the decision process. I believe it’s more about getting to know the candidate before the interview.

Maybe the person to leak this was a potential candidate and it was really a 30 minute written test, and it took them 2 hrs and Eppler told them they would no longer be considered.

I found that strange as well. But again he was just voicing his opinion and made sure to say that he wasn't making fun of it. It was odd him talking about some people in baseball like they couldn't put together two sentences. I think out of that whole segment that was the strangest thing to me.

Interviews are not an effective means of determining the best candidate for hire. It makes far more sense to incorporate other methods of working through potential hires.
