As has been mentioned on this board, this guy is the difference every year between us being thought of as a near playoff team and a tanking team. For a sport where usually no one guy can truly carry a team, it's pretty amazing how good he can make a bad team look. Absolute pleasure to watch and class act!

It's hard to believe that he's played just over 7 MLB seasons already, and yet is still only 27.   No Halos prospect previous has ever done anything anywhere nears what he has done already, and knock on wood with many more seasons to go.

Congrats, Mike!

This is the biggest thing the "haters" forget about him. He's literally just entering his prime and he's already a Hall of Famer.

So yeah, Betts is amazing. So is Judge. Trout is a God.

Mike Trout has never won The Sporting News Player Of The Year.

Worse yet, he has never won the Player's Choice Player Of The Year Award.

Sporting News.... who cares... who even knew that was still around?  Players?  That's not only poppycock...  it's a damn shame his peers have never honored him with that title.

Players are jocks. You don’t have to be smart to play sports. Enough airheads in the game who are still stuck in backwards, 1950’s ways of thinking about the game that they don’t recognize his greatness. He’s been the best player every year since 2012.

Agree with some of this.

That’s cool. I don’t think we’re looked at as a team that could potentially reach the post season (if everything went right) these past couple years without Trout and his 10 wins. And I’m not trying to knock the team or anything-Eppler is doing a great job. Just trying to say year in and year out, Trout elevates his team like nobody else can
