I don't want anyone that will be afraid to bench Pujols 3 or 4 days a week, if it would mean taking ABs away from Ohtani not too. Oh and also not afraid to bat him 6th or lower in the batting order when he does play.

So, you prefer to have the new manager implode the clubhouse because. .....

I want the new manager to figure out how he fits into an existing team structure.  This is Albert and Mike's team. The new manager is there to take care of the day to day baseball stuff, not to make a statement.

I can’t imagine that Eppler will leave all of that to the new manager. I’m betting that Albert’s role is mostly decided before the season starts

Yup.  I believe Eppler will have a nice conversation with Albert to inform him of his diminished role with the team.

The manager is there to do his best to help the team win a championship. I want to win and I think Albert playing in the way he has isn't consistent with that goal.

I agree.  However,  it is the GM who should take care of that issue. I would love Eppler to add people who could take away at bats from Pujols because of how they perform better.

I think the better question is what kind of guy do you want.
I just read thru a list of 50 possible candidates for manager this off season, and it came down to a few basic types:
-A vet mgr that left a rough situation in his last job
-Someones who got a little experiences in the minors but nothing at the ML level or a very small cup of coffee.
-A bunch of ex players people think might make good managers.
Figuring out that part of it ought to level the list a bit :)
