Morton has been back off the DL and has pitched five and six innings in his last two starts. This is perplexing. 

Unless AJ is readying him for going "Tampa Bay" in the playoffs. It's possible, I suppose. Start Verlander and Cole against the Indians and go bullpen in game 3?

Astros MLB website indicates that there is no word on why he was pulled, but noted that his velocity was way down.
