Prescription for this team's ailments

Start with a different manager who is willing to kick some butt. No more turning pages or tipping caps. That's garbage. That kind of talk is for losers.

Let the overpriced and much too comfortable players know who's running the show and exactly what's expected of them. Maximum accountability. If they don't produce, they get benched or sent down. Simple as that. Bring up some kids in their place who want to play baseball. Who cares how much the veterans are making? Bench them! Or if possible, trade them.

This brand of baseball that we're seeing is pathetic and totally unacceptable. Radical changes are needed at this point.

Ok, can we get some realistic options:  benching Pujols and Hamilton isn't going to happen.  BTW removing Scioscia is not going to turn Blanton into a good pitcher.  It won't turn the bullpen around.  So I don't know what your suggestions offer.

First step in turning this around is to get some major league quality arms for the rotation and bull pen.

Look to trade Vargas, Williams, and Hanson (if he ever returns) for prospects.

Pujols isn't going anywhere, neither is Hamilton.  The only real hope is get the best we can out of them.  We shouldn't trade Trumbo or Bourjos as they are still under club control and young.  Trout isn't going anywhere for another four plus years.  If we don't turn it around by then, then we trade him in his 6th year.

There is no freakin way the front office is going to do some of stuff people are asking

#1 - MS is safe for this season.  Injuries will save him.  Hamilton and Blanton will save him.  Yes, he should be held accountable, but the owner and GM will look at the injuries and lack of player performance as something that can't be put upon him.

#2 - There will be no fire sale.  They aren't going to sign a guy for 250/10 and another for 125/5 to blow the team up after 40 games.  It's just unrealistic.  They are actually more likely to continue to try and buy their way out of it.  Those guys are stuck here anyway.  No one will take them.

#3 - They aren't likely to sell off a bunch of young controllable and cheap talent to get unproven talent.  You build around those guys.  You don't trade them

No magic potion is going to turn this season around.  There aren't going to be wholesale changes mid season because frankly it doesn't really matter.  Everything will stay as is and all you can hope for is a miraculous run when a bunch of guys come back from injury.

Two's are wild.

Two fifths of your rotation are missing including your #1.

Two important pieces at the back end of your pen are out

Two of your main bats in the middle of the lineup haven't performed.

At the end of the season, whether you can improve or not, you are going to be left with needing 2 guys for the rotation assuming you have to replace Vargas and Blanton.    You re-sign Vargas and sign Garza or Sign Choo and Trade Bourjos.  You beef up the pen and pray.  The only hope this team has for the next 3 years is for Albert and Josh to perform well.  After that, you hope that the farm has been restocked and a few guys are ready.  If these guys are not performing by the end of 2015 then we might see it get blown up for potential replacements that may or may not exist in the minors.

Don't be so ridiculous. We can send off Pujols/Hamilton/Wilson for $5 million or so each and eat the half a billion dollars left or so of their contract. Could be the savyest move that Dipoto has made.
