Ty Buttrey Appreciation Thread

Best 3 relievers over the past month: Cole, Anderson, and Buttrey

Buttrey is unhittable since being called up.    Anderson has a 2.85 ERA and 1.15 WHIP since July 1.    Cole, excluding the two start of game appearances, has a 1.30 ERA in 28 inn.

Yeah, you take out his two starts, and he's been downright dominant:

Add to that:

Ty Buttrey - 0.66 ERA 0.951 WHIP 656 ERA+ 2.6 BB/9 10.5 K/9

Blake Parker - 3.11 ERA 1.209 WHIP 136 ERA+ 2.7 BB/9 9.5 K/9

Cam Bedrosian - 3.39 ERA 1.344 WHIP 125 ERA+ 3.4 BB/9 8.0 K/9

Jose Alvarez - 2.83 ERA (73 Games!) 1.193 WHIP 149 ERA+ 3.3 BB/9 8.8 K/9

Justin Anderson - 3.29 ERA 1.390 WHIP 129 ERA+ 5.9 (!) BB/9 10.9 K/9

Hansel Robles - 3.45 ERA 1.436 WHIP 123 ERA+ 4.0 BB/9 8.0 K/9

 

That's 7 relievers on a likely 12-13 man pitching staff that can that can at least pitch a decent inning, which is already step up from last season.  Some guys could be traded and others could be added but at least it is something to start with for 2019.
