Mike Trout for MVP & Shohei Ohtani for AL ROY in the same season?

It could happen. But the question is, has it ever happened before were two players won such an award on the same team in the same season?

Trout wont win MVP this year, they have given him enough mulligans for bad teams and there are too many potentially deserving players on better ones espeically in BOS where the east coast voters kick in.
I doubt he will even make the top 3-5.

With Ramirez' slump and the Indians playing in a absolutely wretched division, I can see Trout sneaking in to finish 2nd.

What would the Halos record be, if they took the Indians place in the AL Central?    Halos are 3-3 vs the Indians, and 19-9 vs the rest of the AL Central teams.

I can see it being 1-5:

Betts, Trout, Martinez, Ramirez, Bregman

There is a scenario where Trout wins it, because JD might take votes away from Betts, especially if he wins the Triple Crown. If Jose Ramirez's slump holds and Trout keeps hitting, he could sneak in.

But yeah, Mookie is still the favorite. He's basically had a Trout season but playing for a great team.

Betts has been better this year. Unless Betts goes in a historic slump and Trout has a historic hot streak he has no chance. Betts has been incredible this year

aren't Trout's number better across the board?

If you don’t buy into AVE, Runs, RBIs, SBs, and playing for a winning team ... then you are correct.

Betts has been a better defender and better on the base paths. He is a full WAR better than Trout in about the same amount of games played.

what about HR, OBP, BB, OPS, OPS+ ... ?

wRC+ is, in my opinion, the single best statistic we currently have for offensive value. Trout is ahead of Betts, 190 to 181. According to Defensive Runs, Betts has been significantly better on the field. They're very similar on the base paths.

What about it? Trout’s walks a lot okay

Only 4 HRs difference / Betts has 42 doubles to Trout’s 21 doubles

You’re right Trout will be MVP

1. I know

2. Betts can hit a routine fly ball to LF and it turns into a double in that LL park

3. I'm right? When did I say Trout will be MVP?*

*never
