cleveland 2-2-1

they've gone to OT in three of their games so far.

Poorest tackling team I've seen in a long time. It's like the defensive philosophy is to hit high and/or arm tackle. If they could tackle and kick they could easily be 4-1 or 5-0.

That said it's been fun watching them become competitive and learn how to win. If they improve the above mentioned areas they will really be a team to watch out for.

RAMS UNDEFEATED!

One does have a lot of positivity to take away from barely losing to NE on the road by a last second field goal.

Defense needs to play better, but half the starting defense was injured for the game including Houston and Berry is still out.

But the offense can score on anyone.

Sounds similar to what the Rams are going through.    Talib is out until early December, Easley is out for the year, and Peters is playing at probably 50%.   And like the Chiefs, the Rams can score on pretty much anyone.    Although I'm also wondering if the Rams defense is still adjusting to the 3-4 scheme.

Looks like the Rams, KC, NO, and NE...and then everyone else?

The next two best teams?   Chargers and Ravens?

Chargers are rolling since the Rams loss.   The Ravens defense has been ridiculous (101 pts in 7 games), and they would have taken NO to OT except for Tucker having his first ever NFL missed extra point.

Someone else is going to emerge and go on a roll like the Chargers are doing. But a lot of parity and being in a betting pool it seems like every week anyone can win or lose at any time in most of the games. The four you mention seem to be constants.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's the Seahawks or Steelers that pick it up and make a push from mediocre starts.

Some more trades could still come in but so far the "big" ones are D. Thomas going from the Broncos to Texans, Tate going from Detroit to Philly and D. Fowler getting traded to the Rams.  Ty Montgomery whose family is reportedly getting death threats after fumbling when the coaches told him to take a knee on the kick off was traded from GB to Baltimore.

Fowler gives the Rams extra defensive depth up front, although 3rd round and 5th round picks seems kind of steep for a guy they likely won't be re-signing after 2018.    They could be eyeing him as a starting edge rush replacement for Matt Longacre, who has struggled some this season.

Fowler, Barron, Littleton, and Ebukam could be a nice LB corp, if Fowler can fit in well enough.    Longacre and John Franklin-Myers would then give them decent depth in the LB corp.

Sunday's game in N.O. could be one of those 43-40 type games, as neither team is doing very well with pass defense and being on turf.     It starts a crazy 3 weeks stretch with games @ N.O., home vs warming up Seattle, and a MNF game at Mexico City vs the Chiefs.

Bortles isn't the guy.

Most observers have said that, yet the team gave him a contract extension at the end of last year. It's as if everyone in the Jacksonville front office is determined to prove that this isn't just another of their totally wasted first round picks, even if the team loses big. After all, their picks of Byron Leftwich and Blaine Gabbert worked out really well. Why not double down?

Latest news is that the locker room is coming apart, and the offense is the reason for a lot of it.

I can't peg the Jets or Redskins this season. I went undefeated last week in my pool, but generally when I pick or avoid either they do the opposite.

Was in San Diego for a concert yesterday and went to a Chiefs bar in Old Town. Fun shit and an obvious win. Tied for the best record in the league with another cupcake next week in the Cardinals.
