True. But he had a 2.60 ERA, which is now up to 3.34.

Which:

A) is still 3.34

and

B )  is the result of an outlier

which

C) will be obvious to the non-idiots that most MLB GMs happen to be.

So,

D) chill the heck out with that line of silliness, especially since

E) the Angels aren't likely to trade one of their best pitchers.

It’s not so much Skaggs himself it’s the fact we could’ve sold extremely high on someone who can only trend downward from here.

When you have guys who outperform expectations IMO you need to take advantage of that, especially when you have plenty of other holes to fill like we do.

Just like we missed that boat on Calhoun and Bedrosian we again did the same with Skaggs.

There is no f'n way you trade Skaggs.  We're not the Royals.  We need starting pitching if we are going to compete in 2019 and he's still among the best.

Yes. They should've sold high.

We talking the same Royals who won the World Series in 2015? You’re right we definitely aren’t them.

Skaggs isn’t the difference between us competing or not in 2019.

no, we are talking about the 2018 Royals. the 2018 Royals aren't the 2015 Royals either.

also, depending on who we replace him with, Skaggs certainly can be the difference in 2019

Outperform expectations? Again, the guy was a top pitching prospect. The only reason the numbers weren't there was because he wasn't on the mound due to injuries. This season is what Skaggs can do when he's healthy and puts it all together.

The way you're making it sound is that he's some Parker Bridwell scrub with average stuff just getting by on smoke and mirrors

The guy is a damn good mid-rotation arm at dirt cheap and under club control for another handful of seasons. You don't move those guys unless you are rebuilding
