Why is Everyone So Sure That Kinsler Is Not Brought Back?

It’s funny how on a website with 3000 plus people you are the only one who likes your opinion.  You have chosen to be a martyr, which I am sure why you added the last sentence of your OP.  My thoughts on you are pretty simple, you are the guy that knows the most about baseball amongst your friends and coworkers, they hold you up on the peddlestool and so all of that went to your head.  You come on here, you are abrasive and aren’t the smartest baseball guy here.  You get put in your place and you fight back, poorly.

As for your answer to your original question, it isn’t happening because of Fletcher, Cozart, JMF, Renfigo, Cowart.  It is probably the position of the most depth in our organization that is major league ready.

Pretty much ^^^^

Kinsler is fine if you don't have other options and need someone to play 2B who won't be below-average for one season.

It's funny how 98% of the things I say I have been proven right.... and how so many of you are wrong so often.

A couple months ago I said that Cron should have been kept over Valbeuna.... the whole board was up in arms. I said Cron would hit 30 HR's this year and the whole board laughed.... he is on pace for 30.

I have said that hitters should use the whole field.

I have said that every MLB hitter should know how to bunt.

I have said that pitchers in the NL will have a lower ERA because there is no DH.... members would even argue that.

I said trade Richards before gets hurt..... he injured himself later that night.

I have said bring up Fletcher and the young guys.

I have said Pujols is not contributing.

I said Marte sucks.

I have said that 12 at bats is not enough of a sample size for a player coming up from the minors..... members disagreed.

I have said the Angels did not do enough in the off season addressing there BP.

I said that the Angels should reacquire Grichuk for cheap.... with 600 at bats he would hit around 40 HR's.... and still be better than Calhoun. in 218 at bats he has 13 HR's.

I really believe that some of you have multiple accounts. Also I believe that some of you just enjoy arguing to argue and will take the opposite side no matter what you really believe. I have to believe that because the only other alternative is that some of you are really really stupid.

Here is one more prediction.... Ohtani will re-injure his arm if the Angels run him out there again without changing anything.

You can respond to this message if you like. But just know I am off to enjoy my day & so you will not have the satisfaction that you are seeking.

And in response to Storm.... I said IF he hits .240.... at the rate he is going he may get there or exceed that. Look at the trending numbers.

This post is going in the AW HOF

I think if the Angels want to be successful, it'll probably result in losing Mike Trout.

The script obviously isn't working, and no matter who the Angels bring in, they haven't been able to make it work.

A drastic shift is needed.

- Scioscia needs to go bye bye. It's not so much that he's bad as much as they just need something new because the same old hasn't been cutting it for a while now. Trout probably won't like that.

- It's time to either buy Pujols out of the remainder of his contract, release him, or for him to retire. Either way, he can't take up a roster spot anymore and certainly can't be the starting 1B/DH and bat in the middle of the lineup. Trout probably won't like that either.

- I'm not necessarily opposed to Calhoun in RF as much as I want better, more consistent production in RF, and I'm not convinced his new swing suddenly makes him exactly what they need. He's proven incapable of handling LHP which requires the team to carry a RHP specialist as a reserve outfielder and it just isn't efficient. Guessing that won't sit well with Trouty either.

- Cozart needs to earn a spot in the lineup at this point. Going into next year, as far as I'm concerned, he's lost his spot and needs to beat out Fletcher or Rengifo for the utility spot.

Beyond that, there are a lot of different ways we can go. I know what I'd do, but that's not the only right answer obviously.

But I'd like to see them trade for Smoak (Suarez and Gatto) to play 1B with Thaiss logging starts there and half the starts at DH as well. Trade for Schoop (Soriano and Hermosillo) to play 2B. Sign Markakis to play RF, trade Calhoun. Re-up Maldonado, then have Ward, Cozart and Rengifo battle it out for starting 3B and UT spots. The cap it off with a trade for Archer (Rodriguez, Jones and Fletcher).

It takes a big chunk from the farm, but then I think they're rolling with something like this...

1. SS Simmons 2. RF Markakis 3. CF Trout 4. LF Upton 5. 1B Smoak 6. DH Ohtani 7. 2B Schoop 8. 3B Ward 9. C Maldonado

BENCH: Cozart, random backup catcher, random backup outfielder.

Rotation: Ohtani, Archer, Skaggs, Heaney, Canning.

I like everything except for assuming Markakis will be better going forward than Kole.  I know he is having a career year, but he is what 35?  No, I don’t think I want to pay for his career year.  I am not sure I like Schoop over Fletcher either.

It's amazing how often you are wrong. No I am not trolling. I just don't go around and try to pick internet fights like you do. Just ignore me like I do with you.

It's a Angels message board. If I want to talk Angels baseball than that is my right.

IF Kinsler keeps playing well I would say 70% chance next year he will be an Angel.

Dude all you do on here is pick fights

How can you possibly say, just ignore me like I ignore you, when you quoted the fucking guy (Einstein)

You spelled 5% chance wrong

Just wanted to say a quick Thank You... & how proud I am of the Angels members that this was the 1st post I have been involved in where everyone got along. No one was freaking out when I suggested that MLB hitters should use the whole field when they hit. Or a MLB hitter should know how to bunt. Or NL pitchers have a lower ERA because there is no DH.

Good job everybody!!! Let's all keep it up. This is the world we should live in.
