Vladdy was happy to be in Anaheim because he was playing for something.  A  lot of times in Montreal they were out of it by August.  It inspired him and he appreciated the players rallying around him

Re: first day reporting to expos from DR camp (montreal writer question) and memories looking back on days with expos

He was limited in practice because of a tight muscle in his leg. He was put in the lineup at camp batting 2nd and had to run out a grounder in his first at bat. He had to wait a month after that to play again

Remembers his last season in Montreal and as he was saluting the fans (saying goodbye) the cheers kept getting louder and louder.Then he noticed his son, Vlad, Jr had walked out next to him.and the fans were reacting to him, not Vladdy.
