Could Garret Richards become the next Brandon Morrow ?

Recommended Posts

Like Garret Richards, Brandon Morrow as a starting pitcher never could stay healthy but when he finally moved to the bullpen he's gotten better & better: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/morrobr01.shtml

Since 2015 as a reliever he's never had a ERA higher than 2.73 & never a BB/9 higher than 2.8 & since 2017 his K rate is back up to where it was in earlier in his career around 9.0 & higher. As a starter Richards was more effective than Morrow was as one, so as a reliever could he be even better than Morrow ?

Trivia: Brandon Morrow as originally drafted by the Angels in 2003 in the 40th round but didn't sign & was drafted by the Mariners in 2006 1st round 5th overall pick.

Yeah that too, John Dunsworth from that show also was the one who scouted Ellen Paige to become a actress, also home to Sidney Crosby & the film location of Titanic.

That's right, Ellen had a part-time role as Leahy's niece on the show.

Classic intro music for the show, and of course the satirical play off of I Love Lucy with Ricky and Lucy and their crazy relationship.

Also, where else can a guy have a drink with him 24/7?

Shoemaker would be another great candidate for the pen.

But..

The Angels don't convert their troubled ML starters to relievers...lately they prefer to get their relief corps from the minors and other team's dumpsters.

Well its the same as supermarkets, alot of good food ends up in the dumpster.
