I've decided to train the file clerks to act like the ball girls at Wimbledon. They sprint to the cabinets and grab a file. Then they sprint back, stand a couple of steps away from me holding it high up in the air. Once I'm ready for it, I signal them and they place it on my desk. 

Then they bring me a towel.
