Agreed fans shouldn’t get a vote for the starters . It should be most deserving and best stats. Maybe one or to fan vote ins a year but that’s it

I looked up Jose Abreu's stats and couldn't believe how mediocre he's been...but then I looked at the field of AL first basemen and it is pretty grim. What happened to all the big hitting first basemen? The NL has Freeman, Votto, Goldschmidt, Belt, Muncy, Aguilar, etc...the AL's highest wRC+ from a 1B is Mitch MOreland at 138...and he doesn't quite qualify. After him it is Justin Smoak (122).
