Pujols and Upton = no more big contracts for hitters from other teams????

Guys like Simba are the ones to acquire...controllable and well rounded in talent including GG defense (unlike the mediocre defender Upton).

Bert's still getting the job done when it comes to driving in runs though. 

w/ RISP: .318/.384/.432/.816 - 10 walks to 9 strikeouts in 99 PA
w/ runners on base: .288/.341/.399/.740 in 167 PA
w/ 2 outs, RISP: .273/.385/.432/.816 in 52 PA
High leverage .327/.379/.404/.783 in 58 PA

If anyone should be hitting 5th/6th, it’s Upton, who can’t hit with RISP to save himself.

I'd be interested in a Simmons, Upton, Trout, Pujols, Ohtani config at some point, or with Ohtani and Upton swapping.

It’s odd that Upton.  Who has been our 2nd best hitter...mostly.  Is the target of your ire.  He’ll get hot again.  In the end this guy is going to have the same good numbers that he always has. 

There are so many other genuinely bad hitters on this team.  Why bother complaining about Upton ?

Second best power hitter, Simmons is the most consistent hitter next to Trout and very close to him but without Trout's power.

I need to admit that I was wrong.  I stated that Scioscia wouldn't bat him any lower than 4th.  I am 100% happy I was wrong.  Now let's just hope this is more than a 1 time thing.  Odd part about all of this is that Pujols is producing with RISP which is something most of our other guys can't do.
