I think Eppler tipped the announcement yesterday or the day before when he said Ohtani will return as a DH in 2018. He was softening the blow.

Fletcher said that Eppler never actually said that.  It is in another thread on here from this morning.

OK, so MAYBE he didnt use the terms "likely" or "will return". It was still stool softener, IMO.

Has a press conference been scheduled? Or does Eppler operate like the POTUS and just tweet us the information?

Not sure, which will make him look worse in your eyes?  That is the one he will pick.

I think he'll return to hitting in about a week and be shut down for pitching until end of July.

Isn't the return to pitching from stem cell/injection usually longer than that?   Like around 3-4 months, which takes him to at the earliest September?

I'm hopeful he'll be able to DH and that they've shut down his pitching.

I'm fully expecting to hear that he'll be having two arm transplants, has plantar fasciitis, and his syphillus isn't healing.

the people who want Girardi to take over because they think MS is too much of a veterans manager are in for a big time surprise.

Girardi was almost as stubborn with Arod, as meatballhead is with Pujols.
