In the last two games, with 2 HR, he's almost matched his total number of XBH hits that he had through his first 50 games - three (1 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR).

Seriously,  one double in his first 185 plate appearances. That's craaaazy.

This is why I’m not ready to write off this team. If the likes of Calhoun. Louis, and Albert can on base on a regular basis. This is a very dangerous team.

Calhoun obviously has significantly underperformed this season but if he can just give us career average offensive numbers the rest of the way that would be a huge boost.  Somebody hitting .255 .322 OBP .734 OPS 104 OPS+ is obviously not All Star level but, if you mix in elite RF defense, that's huge.

Albert has been sub-700 OPS for almost 2 seasons now so .245 .285 .695 OPS is about what you can expect at this point but Valbuena has some room to get better, although I think we'd see more production from a combination of Fletcher and Fernandez.

having career avg Calhoun and Valbuena finding his power stroke makes this lineup much more palatable.

Totally different team when they hit...  Of course you could say that about every team in MLB, but the Angels have so much potential, just have to live up to it.

Calhoun has always been streaky, let's hope this one lasts a while.

I still think he's valuable on the bench. The problem is we've had so many injuries and people underperforming that he's being used too often.

Maybe, but can't Fletcher play 3B?  If so, he should be starting there and leading off IMO.

And Valbuena ended up with the game winning hit last night, albeit in the 1st inning.
