New Standing Prediction

Recommended Posts

Alright so we're halfway through June, it's not that early anymore, and the Angels are trailing the Astros by 9 and the M's by 7.5 games.  How does this season play out?

AL West: Astros 97-65, Angels 88-74, Mariners 87-75

AL Central: The Indians 90-72.

AL East: Yankees 101-61, Red Sox 97-65

WC Game: Angels at Red Sox.

NL West: D-Backs 90-72, Dodgers: 88-74

NL Central: Brewers: 92-70, Cubs 91-71, Cards 88-74

NL East: Nats: 88-74, Braves 86-76, Phillies 84-78

WC Game: Cards or Dodgers at Cubs.

I wish I could be that optimistic.   The rotation has to get healthy, and in turn Eppler acquire a closer and key setup man, for them to even approach 88 wins.

They would have to go 49-39 to reach 88 wins.   The M's would have to go 41-48 to also reach 87 wins.

Tall order on the Halos part, without a healthy rotation and without a real closer and real setup man

I like our chances a lot better to get to 88 wins than I do of Seattle only winning 87.   Unless of course we kick the shit out of them in our remaining 12 games against them.

I'm horrible at predictions...

Last prediction I made was that Sidney Moncrief would be better than Magic Johnson.  Ok... maybe not the "last" prediction I made, but certainly the worst.

I even remember a local scrub CBB play-by-play guy named Eddie Alexander, who during a Cal State Fullerton/Michigan State game on local tv in December 1978 said Magic Johnson was the most overrated CBB player.    LOL, ROTFLMFAO

Which is very doable, Boogie.

Mike Trout is currently on fire leading the league in almost everything and we're still losing (3-7 the last 10)..what's going to happen when he cools off.

If the bullpen isn't addressed the Angels are going to have a hard time winning 84 games.

Hope I'm wrong but that's how I see it.

When he cools off I assume the outcome will still be the same.

A positive thought: The final ten games we play against Seattle this year are at the Big A.

Maybe our fans will turn out and support us in a big way??

Maybe.

it depends . . . what promotions are they giving away during that series?
