Whoops, looks like you're right. For some reason I thought Barria had pitched more recently.

Tuesday's starter appears to be uncertain.

That is correct.  Tuesday’s game is up for grabs.

They could consider Jesus Castillo.  He's already on the 40 man, and his last start was cut short after 3 innings, with no injury.  He's a thousand times better than his ERA is in AA.  Career ERA of 3.86 in the minors, only 22 year old.  For some odd reason, his K/9 has plummeted this year and I don't know why.

I remember the same thing happening to Richards in Double-A

His k/9 was a lot better at every level including his AA stint past year.

But yeah, he's a #4/5 starter or a swing man. He's going to be a major league quality starter, but on a team whose 5th starter looks like it'll be Heaney or Suarez, Castillo could be trade bait or moved to the pen.

Just pitch BadRock the first inning tomorrow, then have the call up pitch innings 2-6, Alvarez the 7th, but then we have no idea who's reliable enough to pitch the 8th and 9th innings.

At least acquire Soria to get through this year, and maybe also 2019 if looking good as he has a 2019 option.   He shouldn't cost much.
