Brandon, did you end up going? There were quite a few people in Angel gear.

I went and had a great time. It was really crowded but the beer selection was great.

My cousin owns Churchill's. So I go down there whenever I get the chance.

No, we had a dinner engagement and earlier plans. We were contemplating going today, but I'm fairly certain they will be out of the Younger and who knows what else.

I've never been there, but if they are able to house this much beer I imagine it to be quite the place. If we make it, we make it but not likely. I feel like James or my gf mentioned this a while back, but my gf's friend posted up some Instagram of it as she was camping around there and we found out about it yesterday morning.

Any beers stand out or impress you?

Hope your cousin killed it. Sounds like he did business wise.

They had the younger yesterday. They had Societe the Butcher Batch #1. If you like stouts that was outstanding. Port also makes a stout only for Churchill's that is pretty good. I couldn't drink more than 3 because I was driving and only there for like 5 hours.

Some of my friends couldn't go yesterday so I'm going for lunch again today. And some of my friends can't go today either so I'm going back next Saturday.

The place isn't actually as big as you would think for how many beers they have (on tap and in bottles). He has a refrigerated semi container out back that he has installed lines into so he can house all the beer. The food is also pretty good and they have a lot of veggie and vegan options (my cousin recently went vegan for health reasons). If you aren't feeling like pub food though there is a great place a few exits south of the 78 off Palomar Airport Road called Tip Top Meats. The breakfast there is served until 12 and the Big John's breakfast comes with all you can eat breakfast meats. And breakfast meats includes bratwurst.

Tip Top!

Brats..... and the shortribs. Had relatives in Carlsbad and used to hit that place regularly.

Glad to hear it is still going.

My favorite drinks depend on where I am drinking.

Angels day games: Leinenkugel Summer Shandy

Angels night games: Fat Tire Amber Ale

Beer I have at home: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

Beach/River/any water activity: XX lager or amber

Snow activities: Fireball Whiskey (I know not a beer but still my favorite snow drink)

Ducks games: Blue Moon if I get oggis pizza for dinner, pacifico if I get a burrito for dinner (Ducks need better beer choices)

Bar's: Lagunita's a little sumpin sumpin (if they have it)

Bear Republic- Big Bear Black

Stone- Old Guardian

Inland Empire- Victoria

All swell. The Victoria is re-release, I believe. They stopped making it for a long time then some time in the past 6 months started making it again. Really orange like....think a better Blue Moon but 11%.

Beer report.

Did happy hour at Yardhouse for the veg menu that my company wanted.

Dogfish Head 90 minute- Standard that I think most of you have had,

Piraat- Good Belgian, but wouldn't be my first choice.

(Wanted to try Primo simply because it's made by Pabst, but it was sold out)

Went to Liquor Rama and grabbed:

Three Philosophers- Really good cherry Belgian that is 8.5. At my local watering hole they have an expansive beer list of 72 that if you do them all you get your own engraved mug, cartoon pic on the wall, and invites to members only parties where they do free food and whiskey/bourbon tasting. I've pathetically done four lists, one in 9 days, and this is on there. Familiar with it and it's worth a try if you like Belgians. The ladies really like it because it's made with 2% cherry juice.

Decadence by Alesmith- I feel like I had this before with James, but can't remember. It's a yearly I believe and is unique because it has the light, crisp, and carbonated Belgian style, but is a Quad so it had the thickness and rough aspect. It's 10.5% and only $13. If you are looking to get trashed this will work, but not something I might get again. Not bad when settling and aired out in a goblet.

I have a Three Philosopher in my fridge that I just might have to drink during the Laker game tonight.

Naw Stradling, I actually came across Chimay a couple years ago as I had no clue about crafts and walked into the Back Abbey in Claremont and had no clue what their beers were so just grabbed that.

Tonight we found a hidden spot close to us, but i think their prices may be a bit to up there.

Dogfishhead Noble Rot, $13

The Breury Sour in the Rye, $19

New Belgium Lips of Faith Transatlantique Kriek, $13
