Not sure how many Belgian Beer fans we have here, but I’m a fan. In Pasadena there’s two different Lucky Baldwin’s.   One of them specializes in Belgians and Trappist Ales.  It’s one of the few places I’ve found that has Chimay Blue on tap.  In my opinion it’s the best beer in the world.

The Belgians make the best beer...

NH sucks. I was just going to say we have a good Belgian game with Schilling Brewing but then I remembered Massachusetts has Notch and Silvaticus and I realize my state is just a pointless wasteland of trees and minimal highway travel between actual good beer and pretty much everything else.

We have no sales tax though!

You guys are the lungs of north america.

Delirium is good.  Have you tried Chimay Grande Reserve also referred to as Chimay Blue?

Yeah, but a long time ago.

Funny that I started this thread 7 years ago, but don't really drink beer anymore.

Tallgrass Brewing was this awesome brewery out of Manhattan, KS, that did some really cool stuff for about ten years. Eventually they opened a restaurant, way over-expanded, and screwed themselves over from a business standpoint, despite having good products that sold well. So all their beer went away. Couldn't buy it anywhere as of about two years ago. Then I go to the liquor store the other night, and on one of the shelves sits a sixer of Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat stout. I was like WTF? How? So I ask the guy at the register and it seems as though the guys that ran the brewery recently agreed to sell all of their recipes and copyrights to a brewery in Wichita. Great for me. Not sure it's so great for the guys that first started that brewery though.

that would have to be some amazing rye bread because rye bread blows.

Growing up a I hated rye bread. Either my tastes changed, or the type I had were bad, but I dig it now.

@Brandon you want to work out a deal to send me some Pliny? Also not sure if you have access to Blind Pig but that would be even better if you do.

I could pay for cost of beer plus shipping and then extra for the trouble. Venmo or PayPal.

I'll call them tomorrow to see if they are open or doing any curbside pickups and can check on both. I'll shoot you a PM now.

I don’t have the IPA expertise of some of you, but Pliny at $7.00 a bottle isn’t nearly as good of an option as Sculpin at $2.00 per bottle.

Brandon mentioned Tustin Brewing Company on here. In my opinion, their house IPA, which they brew themselves, is as good as anything you will find anywhere.

I'm with you. I purchased Pliny, and Société Pupil last week, but my buying more expensive beers has been greatly reduced the last couple years. Mostlt now i just go to Costco and pick up a case of Stone IPA. I'll still buy some of the better stuff here, and there but I'm kind of over spending $13 for a six pack.
