How being Trout's roommate and not having any of those mannerisms rub off is mind wrecking. 

Richard's is always looking like a whipped dog on the mound. Never does he exude any confidence and doesn't pitch with any. Here he is wasting pitches on a bunch of. 200 hitters, throwing chase pitches to guys not aggressive enough to take the bait. 

Yeah, Valboner blew a double play ball but everything leading up to that was crap pitching by a crap pitcher. And everything after that was whipped dog pitching, unable to get over the error and kept dumping pitches in the dirt. 

Lance Lynn doesn't have much talent anymore but he's had enough guts to strike out Trout with bases loaded. If Richard's had half that mental toughness he'd only be on his 20th instead of 40th pitch.

lynn is hitting 95/96 tonight.  that's pretty good.
