Nolan Ryan tied his club record striking out 19 batters in 10 innings vs. Toronto in the 2-1 win…Ryan ended his career with the Angels posting four 19-strikeout games.

Not a top moment in Angels history, but on a more personal level:

June 10, 1983. I was there when Reggie Jackson, suffering from the flu, came off the bench in the 8th inning to hit a 3-run blast to center field to tie the Blue Jays 3-3. Doug DeCinces had broken up Luis Leal's no-hitter in the 7th inning with a two-out single. After Jackson's HR, DeCinces added a two-run bomb of his own in the 8th. Angels won 5-3.

It's the only home run I ever saw Reggie Jackson hit in person.

Chone Figgins became the first player in MLB to go 6-for-6 with a walk-off hit since Jim Northrup with the Tigers on August 18, 1969 (2-run HR in 13th)...His six hits tied an AL record for a 9-inning game and club record set by Garret Anderson who went six for seven in a 15-inning game at Texas on Sept. 27, 1996.

Angels tied a club record with 26 hits at Boston (set Aug. 25, 1979 at Toronto) en route to a 20-2 victory...Every starter in the Angels' lineup collected two-or-more hits and Fred Patek, standing at 5'4" and nicknamed "The Flea", became just the second shortstop in ML history to post three HRs in a game (Ernie Banks)...Patek hit a total of five HRs in 1980 - three coming in that game;

I did get to see him hit two HRs in person against the Skanks in a Saturday night game in July 1982, where they swept all 3 games that weekend from the Skanks.

I was just going to post this one.   The Halos swept 3 games at Fenway Park that weekend, after coming into that series with a woeful 20-40 record.

Angels score 21 runs in Fenway and defeat the Red Sox, 21-2.

CJ Cron is 6-6 with 5 runs scored and 5 RBI.

Carlos Perez is 5-6 with 6 RBI.

Albert Pujols drives in 5 runs.

Ten different Angels score at least one run.

Angels' left fielders go a combined 0-6.

Easy, GA, Glaus and the unforgettable Mo Vaughn.If I remember correctly Erstad had about 25 or so too.

What's crazy is that though erstad "only" hit 25 (compared to the group), he was by FAR the best player on the team that year.

His 2000 was Trout 2012 basically.
