Youre wrong.

One is: " if you're not a cheater and an idiot, you might have a chance to be elected to the Hall of Fame"

The moralism comes from preaching an absolutist stance on it, and the fact that we don't know who was and wasn't roiding. Further, it was the context of the day. He's singled out because he wasn't well liked (black guy with attitude) and he was so much better than everyone else for those four years, so the roiding was more obvious.

Bonds was one of the greatest players of all time. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Of course the HoF has lots of dubious inclusions (and exclusions), so it's not like its a reliable measure of greatness.

Gaylord Perry cheated and he is still in the Hall of Fame. Actually, he was ejected for cheating during a game before making the Hall of Fame. George Brett cheated as well with pine tar and he still made the Hall of Fame. Bonds was great before he started using steroids in 1999. Guy started using steroids because he wanted attention like the Zodiac Killer. It's stupid to allow cheaters like Perry and Brett into the Hall of Fame but not let guys like Bonds and Clemens, who was also great before steroids, in.

My moralism is different. It's about Bonds.

He's a cheater and an idiot. Ergo, he is not in the HOF.

Bonds is NOT in the HOF for GOOD reason.

Bonds would have been an easy choice for the MLB Hall of Fame if he had decided to call it quits after the 1998 regular season. If I remember correct, he was already a member of the 400-400 club before 1999. He might have been the first player ever to hit 400 home runs and steal 400 bases. Not to mention the fact that he was an eight time All-Star and won three MVPs before the last season of the 21st century. Too bad for him that he started using steroids in 1999. He's like that kid who excels at history but decides to make himself other worldly compared to his peers by stealing answer keys to tests.

It would be nice to see if Trout joins the 300-300 club. Trout already has over 300 career home runs and 202 stolen bases. I just hope he doesn't go the Sosa route when it comes to going from being an elite base stealer to just shutting it down stealing bases. It's easy to forget that Sosa was fast and stole a lot of bases before just going the slugger route. But that Sosa was constantly stealing at least 20 bases per season for quite awhile. Barry and Bobby Bonds are two of the members of the club. A-Rod is another. And I do remember Reggie Sanders being in the club as well. Not a name that immediately comes to mind. I'm not sure about Soriano but he might very well might be part of the 300-300 club himself. Had a 40-40 season with the Nationals in 2006.

As far as advance stats goes, Trout is still top-10 in the American League in runs created (4th), adjusted batting wins (3rd with 1.7), and adjusted batting runs (3rd with 17) despite missing 9 games this season so far. He'll soon fall out of the top-10 in runs created because that is a cumulative statistic. The other two statistic relies on performances from game-to-game. A bad game like an 0-4 performance will likely make it go down, so he might still be in the top-10 in the American League in the two categories after he comes back in about mid-July.

I know he's just talking the talk, but reading stuff like that makes me feel a bit more at ease about not only the Angels future, but Trout feeling good about it. While you can see him in the article, he sounds like he's speaking truthfully when he says that he likes Minasian's plan.

Today marks the ten year anniversary of Trout's MLB debut in 2011, which would be the last season when Trout wasn't busying contending for the AL MVP nor making the All-Star team. And that was the last season in which not many people knew what WAR (Wins Above Replacement) was.

Any update on when the rehab assignment starts?

It’s been just over 8 weeks since the injury and the prognosis was 6-8 weeks.

He comes off the DL tomorrow.
