Trout is 5th place all-time in Adjusted OPS+, at 177.

The four ahead of him are Gehrig, Bonds*, Williams, and Ruth.

Bonds went to the same high school as Tom Brady. Two of the greatest cheaters in the history of sports. going to the same high school is something that is just funny. Bonds was basically Trout before steroids. Would have made the Hall of Fame if he had decided to hang up his cleats after the 1998 regular season.

Back to Trout, with 2.5 WAR on the season he's now reached his 2020 total in 28 games vs 53 last year.

What I find so striking about his start this year is his launch angle: it is at 10.5 so far, less than half of last year's 23.1. His Barrel % is also a rather impressive 20.3 compared to his career average (at least from 2015 on) of 15.1.
