I don't really see how the Apple App store is a monopoly. There is plenty of choice in the smart phone market with all the android iterations offering much of the same stuff. Apple likely will argue that the App store is a desirable feature that customers choose iPhones for.

What a bummer.  Calolfornia was about to declare the Dusky Gopher a protective species in parts of Orange County and the Inland Empire.

there's a franchise of The Hat in san gabriel that is close to where my men's chorus rehearses. decided to eat there once and got the grilled cheese. the sandwich was okay but the paper lunch bag full of fries was a bit overwhelming.

i don't remember the sandwich being anything special or remarkable so i never went back.

it probably needed more pastrami juice. i recall it being a rather bland sandwich.

Yeah, this one is a pretty big one.  If this was up for a vote in the population, I'm sure the police union will say that your life would be in danger if this was repealed just like the gas tax.

Roberts seems like he'd be in favor of civil forfeiture judging by his comment on this...essentially saying that because he drove the car to sell undercover cops a bit of heroin that it's an asset he used to commit a crime, and that "you could see how it makes sense" to have to forfeit it.
