Bryce Harper has to play hard, he hasn't earned his fat contract yet.  Josh has earned his fat contract by playing hard earlier in his career, he can be lazy now.

And where is that Hamilton now?   He didn't have to switch leagues and learn new pitchers, like Pujols did.

Heck, he still gets to play a lot of divisional games in the same stadiums he's played a lot of games in since 2008.   

Unless he rallies the 2nd half of this month, that's four substandard months out of the past 6.

Harper doesn't want to be Hamilton, he wants to get Hamilton's contract.  Huge difference.

 

Finally, this season, Hamilton sure doesn't look like he is playing very hard.

If Hud wants to talk sour grapes, then I say he should have been canned by the team once marijuana was found on him.  The guy needs to just shut his mouth.  Every time the Angels go through a bad stretch we get these clowns, who used to be with the team, that want to mock us.  I am sick of it.
