The only way i see them winning this game is if a couple guys get HBP, then a walk & then Simmons hits a grandslam, then the bullpen coughes up 2 runs but hold on to win 4 to 3.

fair point, Ohtani is good no doubt

but his splitter is A+, his fastball has been disappointing

I tend to look more so at fangraphs/analytics and their analysis - I agree that Ohtani is a good pitcher with good stuff but his fastball doesn't rise as much as anticipated so it's not a Kimbrel/Chapman FB where it will eat hitters up. It needs to be located in the corners.

What was he projected to do on Opening Day by Steamer? How much has it changed compared to then?
