Iannetta is really struggling at the plate

And CJ Wilson and Hamilton.

CJ Wilson and Hamilton were never particularly Angel Killers. in fact, Hamilton's batting average and HR totals in Anaheim was always kinda low.

Vargas OTOH was a soft tossing lefty who would lose most of his starts, but then completely destroy the Angels.

Do you really believe this stuff?  Wow.

Lets go through the pitchers that have come here, via FA, trade, or have come up through the minors, and improved under Butcher.

Frieri's doin ok.

Umm ok, well...never mind, lets now look at all the catchers that have thrived under the tutelage of the great catcher Scioscia.

Well, numbers are deceiving things anyhow...

But it is magic I tell ya, absolute magic.

This dude is a 1B/DH now. Poor catcher who made Mathis look good, and other teams seem to agree.

He's making $5-13M for one year to put up better numbers than Albert Pujols.

We should have kept Napoli as a 1B/occasional third catcher, played Trumbo in the OF, and spent the Wells money on pitching.
