How about Greene from Detroit?  

We seemed to work well together with Upton and kinsler.  He's not an elite closer but serviceable.

Interesting idea, but I don't see us giving up assets for someone who would be a marginal upgrade at best. We need a legit closer IMO. Someone to anchor the pen and push everyone else up an inning.

A guy like Greene wouldn't cost much for sure, but he's also not really worth much. Compare his peripherals to a guy like Blake Parker and you'll see what I mean.

For now, put Parker in the closer's spot, Anderson in the 8th inning (not overworking him), and Ramirez/Alvarez in the 7th inning (see Anderson).

When returning (or is it if?), Wood is the next in line. 

Johnson needs to only see the mound twice a week for now.   BadRock needs a SLC stay, replace him with Krol.
