Derek Holland is not an elite LHP (actually kinda sucks). Don't see why Ohtani not in there. If it were a righty I'd be honestly worried, but assuming for now it's just limiting him against lefties. Would hope we see him once we get to the SF pen.

why? I agree he should be in there and it would be more exciting but I can't see how he's the only reason we watch. At the end we support the name on the front, the names on the back are there today but gone tomorrow.

I was only half-serious.

But really...besides Trout, Ohtani is the only thing exciting about this offense lately. It makes no sense to keep benching him while he's available to play. And it's not like he can't hit lefties, which makes this even more puzzling. 

People want to watch Ohtani play. It's not a coincidence that those Sunday games were drawing way more fans than usual. Scioscia is really ruining it for a lot of people.
