Mookie Betts does not compare to Mike Trout. Bryce Harper does not compare to Mike Trout. And certainly no prospect (Acuna, Guerrero, whoever) compares to Mike Trout. It's not close people. Seriously. Just stop.

Yeah he's a must follow on Twitter. He does good work for MLB.com and Baseball America. 

He's been covering our prospects in ST and during the regular season and seems to have a good idea on just how good Trout, Ohtani and some of our other star players.

Ah, so its Betts this year!

Every year its a new player that Mike Trout is compared against, and every year the consensus by the end is that Trout is better. Every year of Trouts career is better than the best year of everyone else's in baseball. That's what all these analysts miss- they are comparing whatever Trout is doing at a given point in time to the best year of whoever he is compared to. And Trout is STILL winning.

Only East Coast idiots would think that Harper or Betts are on Trout's level. Neither of them can carry Trout's jockstrap. Call me when either Betts or Harper put up 6 great years in a row.

Betts' best season was in 2016. He had a slash line of .318/.363/.534 that year. That's cute! If that was Trout's slash line, we would be say he's in "decline" and be in panic mode. And what happened to Betts in 2017!? That's right, he was barely above average. Betts will never be on Trout's level.

lol at someone saying Betts has a better OPS over the last 2 years.  Mookie also plays his home games  and AL east road games in fishbowls.  

2016 - current

Trout - 1.022 ops.  OPS+ of 178

Betts - .869 ops.  OPS+ of 125

Trout is 50 % points better than Betts vs. league avg.  

if we go by wRC+ over the last two years and change, trout is 175.  second place is votto at 157.  18% less.  Betts is barely on the first page at 128.  Harper at 137. 

Kris Bryant is better than Betts.

Trout HAS been the best player in the majors since 2012 but that doesn’t mean he’ll continue to be. And of course someday someone will surpass him. But right now he’s still the best - at least until someone like Harper is consistent enough to earn it.

Correa is great, btw, and is probably going to be one of the very best players over the next decade.

People need to figure this out and get out to the ball park to watch Trout as often as possible. He's a once-in-a-generation player and unlike anyone we've ever seen before.  People should just appreciate him and just go out to a stadium and soak it all in.  If you keep looking for someone better - you're going to miss the best there ever was.
