Side note: Props to Sosh for tweaking his strategy, and NOT trying too hard to get his starter through 5 innings, if his command is trash that day.   Tejas could easily have stolen that game, if Richards stayed in to finish the 5th inning.

I'm pretty sure Richard, Nagy, and Scioscia are familiar with his issues are at this point.  Every pitcher goes through patches of wildness or losing their mechanics, Richards, unless injured, needs to be given the time to work it out.

Yeah, CJ err... Garrett obviously lacks confidence but hopefully that will come. Otherwise we're kind of screwed because our starting rotation is full of holes.

At least Richards isn't getting paid a lot of money every year as an Angel like Wilson was. Richards will be fine as long as he stays healthy. A little big of a slump he's in, though!

The good news is that it should be changing for the better down the road, as Barria gains MLB experience, and Canning eventually gets here.

CJ nibbled because he had to.  It was the right move for him and it worked.  The results were solid but watching him pitch was painful.  

Richards looks like  that golfer who just had a lesson.  Like he doesn't totally have it down yet and he's thinking about the swing and not the shot.  

It's infuriating because he should be dominating like a boss.  

That was the most impressive thing about Ohtani the other day.  He trusted his stuff.

Wilson gets a bit of a bad break IMO.

There have been a lot worse to take the mound for us than him.

That being said, he was always a gigantic douche canoe.

EDIT: And he's married to this, so I hate say it, but I think he gets the last laugh.

I don’t think this is quite true...yet. Ramirez is out for the year, but he was way down the depth chart, really only filler until better pitchers were ready. Shoe is questionable, but he’s also relatively expendable. Bridwell was horrible but he is maybe their ninth best starter anyhow. Everyone else is looking solid enough.

I am less worried about Richards gaining his confidence than I am him blowing out his arm and needing TJS. But assuming he stays healthy, he’ll figure it out.

CJ Skaggs is trying to give CJ Richards a run for his money.

What is it with some Halos pitchers and wanting to be like Nibs Nibbler?   It's not like Tejas has great plate discipline.
