agreed. there's a middle ground out there, but neither side is willing to move towards it. they're both so ingrained in their positions that any movement is darn near impossible, and this is why the status quo needs to change. nothing is being done and people/kids keep dieing, while all us are waiting - again - for something positive and reasonable to be done to try and stem the tide. this is not an either/or situation, but both sides have painted it to be exactly and ONLY that. they're wrong.

For it to happen both sides would have to drop the self righteous claim to the higher moral ground and both have to step away from identity politics, its the single worst thing ive seen in my lifetime politically speaking.
