Will David Fletcher ever start in a MLB game?

This guy is arguably the most popular Angel ever. Right there with Fregosi, Salmon, maybe Carew. Ryan wasn't here long enough to qualify.

Does he come to Angel old-timer functions ever?

Ryan wasn't here long to be one of the most popular Halos? Disagree completely. It might be watered down by all of the newer or younger fans, but anyone over 40 knows him well (or at least they should).

He has some kind of business. He was in my office a few years back pitching product to us (non sports related). Had to try real hard not to be a fan boy.

I still think he's my ideal candidate to take over 2B in '19, barring a LeMahieu signing. I think he'd be good for a Giavotella-type line, .270/.330/.370/.700 with killer defense and 15+ steals, which would be perfect for $500k and the #9 spot. 

Being that he can play SS too, it helps alleviate how our '19 bench is built too, since both he and Cozart could serve as the back-up, especially if Schimpf/Fernandez stick around as offense-first 2B depth.

I think it's telling about his game.  He hits straight stuff well.  He makes great contact and his ability to hit for extra bases may be turning a corner.  maybe.  He got a taste of AAA last year and didn't hit well so I suspect that there is some progression there.

33XBH in 205 AB? Those are insane numbers. What exactly does he have to do? Ian Kinsler AAA numbers before he got called up makes Kinsler look like a scrub compared to Fletcher.  Jefry Marte AAA numbers make him look like a scrub vs. Fletcher.  Same with Valbuena. He should be our starting second baseman. Kinsler can be a backup if necessary.

Fletcher leads SLC in extra base hits.  I mean, yes, SLC inflates #s, but that's a pretty remarkable feat nevertheless.

I don't know what'll happen with Kinsler, but I do think Fletcher has a good shot of being our 2B by next year, at least.

I was just coming here to post this. 

He and Valbuena earned another 1-2 months of shitty at bats. 

Hope I'm wrong though and they turned a corner after both having a breakout game.
