Our offense isn't clicking with Mike Trout in the two hole so why waste his speed there when he can't ever steal in front of Pujols? Scioscia is so stubborn he will put every damn player in the lead off spot but won't but Mike back there. So stupid on so many levels. JB Shuck as our lead off hitter? Who woulda thought that in Spring Training?

I don't think Shuck is a bad option in the leadoff spot in a world where Trout isn't going to be leading off considering the injuries this roster has taken. The one thing Shuck has done just about everyone he's been is get on base.

 

But Trout absolutely should be leading off. Can't wait for Aybar to get back to the leadoff spot, so we can see his .290 OBP setting the table for Trout!

 Yep, Mike has some weird fascination with Aybar in the lead-off roll when he is clearly not suited for it and really shouldn't push past 7th in the line-up.  I think Mike sees a speedy switch-hitter (who is equally below-average at getting on base from both sides of the plate) who can bunt and has the speed to steal a bag and think that's a lead-off hitter.

Trout in 2 hole has been solid. Another case of unfair criticism on Scioscia. Try again.

Trout anywhere in the line-up is going to be solid.  The question becomes are they utilizing his talents.  Trout getting on ahead of Pujols is more then likely going to limit his SB attempts.  If you are alright with Trout stealing around 20 bags or less this year, then the two hole is fine.
