Cleveland shuts out Yankees

Recommended Posts

After an 8-13 start, they've now gone 13-2

I thought Francona sucked!

I thought he lost the clubhouse in Boston!

I thought the manager doesn't do anything but make out the lineup card!

I thought we didn't want him here despite two World Series rings and owning us (except in the 2009 ALDS).

Looks like Yankees are repaying the favor in game 2 of the doubleheader. 1-0 Yankees in the 6th.

Cleveland is a bit of a dark horse this year. They did a lot to improve their roster in the offseason without a lot of people really taking notice. If the Tigers have a bit of a down year and the Indians get hot they could have an outside shot at the playoffs.

I thought this thread was going to be stupid.

I thought correctly.

CLE has as solid offense and BP, and their OF defense is vastly improved to where they were last season.  The question mark is their rotation.  Masterson is effective and is their most reliable starter but if they can get anything out of Ubaldo they have a solid 1-2.  It gets merky after that:  Kubler and McAllister inconsistent, Kazmir is an enormous question mark and Bauer is very talented but prone to wildness.  This team will go where their SP pitching goes.
