As for YouTube TV and Amazon, I wouldn't expect their stupid war to end anytime soon. The current Firetv line is fully capable when it gets resolved.

I'll have to look into the FireTV2 that Lou mentioned.  I do already have a VPN, but should double verify that it is running.  Thanks for the heads up.

What about this Fire Cube?  Any benefit to that vs. the Fire TV?

I am disappointed in the cube performance. I run the firetv2 and use the voice commands on the cube to control volume/turn off TV. Get a firetv2 before a cube. Amazon screwed up by not putting the guts of the Firetv2 in the cube.

Horrible news. Terrarium is shutting down this month. Let's hope something similar will pop up since its much more user friendly than Kodi.

There has been a huge crackdown on free streaming. A kodi box company got hit with a $25mil lawsuit. Shortly after Terrarium announces a shutdown.

Blarg recommends TeaTV. It's very similar to Terrarium. I ... errr... Blarg has tested it for a short while. Noticed fewer available streams and the remote functions are awkward. But in all, does work.
