I think about this whenever I see polls from Oklahoma, where I once lived, stating that the vast majority of the populace does not like their government. The Republicans have run everything in the state for as far back as I can remember. Despite this, in virtually any statewide election you can count on the candidate with the R after the name getting at least 60 percent of the vote based upon that alone.
