He gets posted tomorrow, and then has 3 weeks to sign with a team.  So he'll basically be courted and fawned over for a few weeks as he sifts through his options.

Ohtani is being posted today, but you can still acquire more pool space up until the time you actually sign him, which has to be by Dec 22.

If you talk to Ohtani and promise him some amount you don’t yet have, it’s up to him and his agents whether he believes that you can deliver.

Question. If we dont get this guy, does the pool money carryover to next year (or years)? Meaning, even if this doesnt work out for us this winter, still helps us in say next years international drafting?

I believe Plan B is to sign one or several of the international prospects the Braves just had to cough up.
