First time since April 19-21 and only third time this season - that the Angels have won 2+ games in a row. That's pathetic, but also a bit heartening. Hopefully they can start blowing through these crappy teams and try to make it close to .500 by the end of May.

Love it.  Gonna need a whole lot of these to make the playoffs.  If pitching can keep coming around they definitely have a chance.

 

Fundamentally they look more locked in.  Credit to Scioscia for that, I think we noticed in that Houston game that he stepped up.

The halos need to play at a 98 win pace ROS to win 90 games this year. Not happening.

Kohn, Richards, and DDL are huge for this team going forward.

3 saves in the last 3 games for Frieri.  Absolutely.

Frieri has to be automatic (within reason).  The other three guys are huge to keep us in games or hold leads.  They could get a fair amount of important work in order not to over work the back end.  The pen is gonna have to make up for the mediocre starters.  It's the missing link.  Bmore did it last year and they are doing it again this year.  You can make up for weak SP with a really good pen but they have to be deep.  It was the missing link last year and so far this year. 

 

It's also the easiest thing to make better mid season.  Much easier than finding a good SP.  If they make a run and get a boost by the return of a strong Madsen then even better.
