Converted Garage/Man Cave

So I’m thinking about turning my garage into a place where I can watch Angels games and let my kids play with their indoor toys. I’m repainting the walls, looking to add new flooring and lighting, and probably adding a wall AC/heater to keep it comfortable. 

Anybody here have any suggestions or horror stories to help guide me through this process?

Depending on how much room you're working with, consider building a wall about 6-7 feet away from the garage door.  This creates a small room you can use for storage, but also helps with insulation.

My brother helped me 10 years ago redo my garage.  We made a ceiling and reinforced it to become a defacto attic.  Store tons of shit up there that used to be in the garage.  Epoxy floor. Flat screen tv.  I will take pictures tonight.
